This week, the Palestinian Embassy was officially opened in London, and with it a “piece of Palestine” is now on British soil. This absolute betrayal of not just Israel, but our Judeo-Christian values is something every Christian should be aware of and be praying about. Our government has made a historic mistake, and our nation is at risk of God’s judgment as a result.
This is the latest shameful incident in the legacy of Sir Keir Starmer’s Labour government. Last year, the UK officially recognised a Palestinian State. They declared recognition of the West Bank (Judea and Samaria) and Gaza as being Palestinian sovereignty, and that includes East Jerusalem and all of the main Jewish holy sites, including the Temple Mount, Western Wall, Mount Moriah, and the Tomb of the Patriarchs, as well as Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus.
The next logical step was for the consulate in London to be renamed an Embassy, and with it comes more rights for Palestinian officials in the UK.
As Hussam Zomlot, the now Palestinian Ambassador to the UK, said, this embassy is “a piece of Palestine on British soil.”
He went on to say that the Palestinian voice “will be heard on equal footing in the highest diplomatic circles,” and that the embassy was a “promise” to the Palestinians to “end the occupation” and “establish a state of Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital.”
Zomlot also said his embassy would use its new diplomatic authority to “end all trade” with “Settlers” and to pressure the UK government to implement embargoes on Israel. Basically, it’s the new headquarters of the boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) campaign against the Jewish state.
The Palestinian State of Terror
The Palestinians political groups, whether Fatah or Hamas, are all supportive of terrorism against Israel.
The Palestinian Authority, headed by Mahmoud Abbas, to whom Hussam Zomlot is an ambassador, is a dictatorship. They have not held elections for twenty years. Likewise, they fund terrorism as their main agenda. You could even say their greatest export is terrorism.
During the ceremony, the Palestinian national anthem was played over loudspeakers, and it is worth noting the lyrics to this.
The Palestinian anthem is called Fidai’I, which doesn’t have a direct translation in English, but the most accurate one we could think of was this: “Palestinian self sacrificing soldier.”
Many English translations wrongly translate fidai’i to “warrior”. But it is much more accurate to use the word “martyr”, but even martyr is not fully accurate, as these soldiers are specifically Palestinian, and they are still alive, they haven’t died yet, so they are not yet martyrs, but are longing for martyrdom.
This is why many Palestinians use phrases like, “I ask Allah for martyrdom” and “my soul is a sacrifice for Palestine”. They’re indoctrinated from birth to believe that their holy cause is to fight Israel.

This is an anti-Israel, pro-Jihad song that is now being proudly played in Britain. It is a terror anthem for a terror state that glorifies martyrs as national heroes.
And it now occupies a piece of British soil – shameful!
Israel is a blessing to the world.
Contrast this to Israel. Israel is described in the Bible as a light to the nations and a “light unto the Gentiles” (Isaiah 42:6).
The ultimate light is Jesus, the Messiah, who came to the world through the Jewish people. But there are many other examples of Israel being a blessing to the nations, and even as the whole world seeks Israel’s destruction, Israel continues to be a blessing, advancing medicine, science, agriculture, and at every opportunity seeking peace.
This is because Israel’s existence is righteous. God ordained Israel into being. God promised the land to the Jewish people. God placed a desire to dwell in the land into their hearts. And God promised not only to regather them after exile, but to defend them once they were re-established, and to bless them in all they do.
Israel is blessed by God, and it shows. It is a light to the nations because of God.
The Jewish people understand this, and a lot of Jewish culture revolves around the promises of God and the land of Israel. In fact, Judaism cannot function without the land. They are intrinsically linked.
The Israeli national anthem is called Hatikva, or “The Hope”.

As long as the Jewish spirit is yearning deep in the heart,
With eyes turned toward the East, looking toward Zion,
Then our hope – the two-thousand-year-old hope – will not be lost:
To be a free people in our land,
The land of Zion and Jerusalem.
The national anthem of Israel also reflects the heart of the Jewish people. It is beautiful and spiritual, and it is a complete contrast to the Palestinian anthem.
Will God judge the UK?
Yes.
We could just say that one word and leave it there, but it’s important for Christians to understand that the UK not only risks God’s judgement, it is guaranteed it.
God’s Word is truth. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. God cannot lie. When God says something, He will do it. He keeps His Word to a thousand generations.
The Bible is clear that, at a future date, God will specifically judge the nations based on their treatment of the Jewish people and their dividing of the land of Israel which God gave to the Jewish people.
“I will gather together all the [Gentile] nations [that were hostile to My people] And bring them down into the Valley of Jehoshaphat (the Lord has judged). And there I will deal with them and enter into judgment with them there For [their treatment of] My people, My inheritance, Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations, And [because] they have encroached on My land and divided it up.” – Joel 3:2 (AMP)
Dividing the land of Israel is an act of rebellion against God.
God is the creator of Heaven and Earth. As Creator, He has the authority over the world. There is only one place on the entire planet that God singled out for His divine purposes and only one people group to whom He gave that land – Israel.
“God is wise in heart and mighty in strength. Who has hardened himself against Him and prospered?” – Job 9:4
It is foolish to go against God. And every nation that goes against Israel is in the dustbin of history. After all, where are the Roman Empire, the Greeks, the Ottomans, and the Nazi Regime? They were destroyed because of their treatment of the Jews.
“Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, ‘Let us break Their bonds in pieces and cast away Their cords from us.’ He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision.” – Psalm 2:1-4
The nations truly are plotting a vain thing. The majority of countries have already recognised a Palestinian state. They also all chant the mantra of “Two State Solution”. It is not a solution, it’s a delusion.
Satan is doing everything in his power to undermine God. Satan wants to rob, steal, kill, and destroy. And there is no greater battleground than over Israel. The father of lies is spreading falsehoods against Israel. Satan’s making men think they have the authority to grant sovereignty over land that God has claimed for Himself.
“For the LORD has chosen Jacob for Himself, Israel for His special treasure.” – Psalm 135:4
Sadly, the Church in Britain, particularly the established church, has abandoned God. We call on the Church of England to repent and to obey God and His authority over the land of Israel. Likewise, we call on the UK government to right this historic wrong.
There is no such place as ‘Palestine’. The land of Israel belongs to the Jews forever, given to them by the God of Israel, the Creator of Heaven and Earth.
