(Proverbs 12:17)
We can all see that Biblical truth about Israel is under attack from many angles. Israel’s history is being rewritten. Israel’s actions are being falsely portrayed in the media. False teachings about Israel are being taught in the Church. The Jewish people are too often condemned when not at fault, and threats against them are ignored or excused.
By all accounts, the Enemy is hard at work to bring a “false witness” and “deceit” to the world.
Speaking the truth is not always popular. Throughout the Bible, we read of Godly men and women standing for truth against the odds. And that’s what Christians are called to do today.
So let’s speak the truth about Israel by upholding what Scripture teaches about it. Let’s speak the truth about Israel by rejecting the theologies that deny God’s plans and purposes for the Jewish people. And let’s speak the truth about Israel by challenging the false narratives that demonise the world’s only Jewish state.
With this in mind, here are this week’s prayer points.
Prayer Points:
Pray for the Church in Britain: Pray that the Church in the UK stops echoing the opinions of the world and instead stands firm on the truth of God’s Word! We pray that God will raise up strong Christian voices in Britain that stand up for the truth about Israel.
Pray for Israel’s political situation: We continue to pray for Israel as the next government is yet to be formed. We know that God is watching over Israel, and we pray this time of uncertainty will be resolved in a timely manner, and that whoever leads Israel in this coming term will honour the Lord with their actions.
Pray for America: The United States is Israel’s closest ally and has just been through a midterm election that has seen a shake-up in American politics. We pray for wisdom for America’s leadership; we pray for God’s favour on that land; we pray that America will remain a strong ally of Israel, and we pray that the Church in America will speak the truth of God’s Word with boldness!
Pray for CUFI: We are just weeks away from our event in London. There are still many spaces available, and we are praying that God will help us to fill the venue. We pray those gathered will be encouraged in their stand with Israel. We pray for protection, for provision, and for God to use this event to make an impact for His kingdom.
