The Lord reigns forever; He has established his throne for judgment.
He rules the world in righteousness and judges the peoples with equity.
The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.
Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.
Sing the praises of the Lord, enthroned in Zion; proclaim among the nations what He has done.
For He who avenges blood remembers; He does not ignore the cries of the afflicted.
(Psalm 9:9-12)
The Enemy is causing trouble, but we must not lose heart; instead, let’s proclaim among the nations what God has done for us!
In Europe, particularly in France, we have seen riots that have caused destruction on a large scale. Iconic buildings that have survived both World Wars have been destroyed by anarchists who claim to want to better the country they are in, but whose actions bring only destruction. Churches have been burned, synagogues ransacked. Jewish businesses have been targeted. Innocent people have lost their livelihoods.
We have seen Palestinian flags flying amidst the riots. It is obvious to see that the Palestinian Cause, which is built on lies and fuelled by hatred, is well aligned with destruction and the deception of these recent riots.
Likewise, on Friday 23 October, we saw two heinous acts of terror against Jews and Christians. One was a terror shooting attack in Israel where two Israeli soldiers were killed. The same day in Jordan, Islamic terrorists murdered seven Christians as they attended a funeral at a Church.
We understand that we are in a battle of good vs evil. As we speak about in our podcast this week, there is an unholy alliance that is seeking the destruction of the things of God, whether that be Israel, the Church, or the nations founded on Judeo-Christian principles.
This is why there is a growing attempt to cause the Church to turn against Israel. Satan is trying to divide God’s people to conquer them.
We must hold fast to God. He is our refuge in times of trouble. He is a stronghold for His people. If God is for us, who can be against us? Therefore, let’s proclaim God’s goodness to us. Let us testify to the goodness of God. We will not keep silent, for Zion’s sake!
Prayer Points:
Pray for Israel’s Elections: Next week, Israelis go to the polls to vote for their next Government. We pray for God’s hand of blessing and favour to be upon Israel. We pray for wisdom for those who are elected. And we pray for political stability for the Jewish state as they face mounting pressures.
Pray for Europe: We know things have been going wayward in Europe for a long time, particularly how many nations have abandoned their Judeo-
Christian roots. Pray for revival over these lands. Pray for God’s mercy and protection over Europe. Pray that the Enemy will lose its grip.
Pray for the UK: We are seeing warning signs that protests may take place in London and other UK cities. Let’s pray against this. Pray that this evil does not take hold in the UK but is instead turned back. Pray for the people of Britain to stand up to it, but more importantly, that they will repent and seek God. Pray that the UK Government will stop cursing Israel and instead turn to blessing Israel, as well as honouring the Christian roots of our nation.
Pray for CUFI: Pray for wisdom, protection, and blessings upon the CUFI UK Team. Pray that the upcoming event in London will be a turning point for our nation, that we will fill the venue, and that everyone who attends will be inspired to stand with Israel and speak out for Biblical truth in a more powerful way.
Pray for the Victims of Terror: Pray for the victims of the deadly terror attack in Israel and the deadly Church attack in Jordan. Pray for all the families of those who have lost loved ones, and for healing and restoration for the injured and traumatised. May God comfort His people at this time.
