Hamas has sentenced two Palestinian men to death by hanging for allegedly collaborating with Israel.

Announced by the military judiciary in Gaza, two other Palestinian men were sentenced to hard labour on the same charges.

It isn’t clear when the sentences will be carried out.

The recent sentences come as a Palestinian Authority (PA) court in Bethlehem sentenced a man to 15 years in prison for attempting to sell land to Jewish Israelis.

Palestinian Authority law condemns selling land to Jews and considers it a capital offense.

The Times of Israel reports that Hamas authorities are known in the past to hold public executions of those who are accused of working with Israel

Based in the West Bank, the PA regularly criticizes Hamas for carrying out executions without the approval of PA President Mahmoud Abbas, who apparently hasn’t given permission for any since 2006.

Israeli human rights group B’Tselem reported that Hamas has sentenced 130 people to death since 2007, executing 25 of them, according, says Times of Israel.
