When God called Israel to be His Chosen People through His eternal and unconditional covenant with Abraham, it was so that His glory, faithfulness, and righteousness would be revealed to the nations through them. Throughout history, and even today, Israel stands as a living testimony to the goodness and sovereignty of the God of Israel.
In upholding truth, pursuing compassion, and seeking peace in the face of relentless hostility, Israel reflects not only remarkable resilience, but also the unfailing character of the One who chose her. Israel’s survival and strength are not merely national achievements, they are evidence of God’s enduring promises.
As Bible-believing Christians, we have been graciously grafted into these covenants (Romans 11) and are called to glorify God in all we do (1 Corinthians 10:31). That includes standing with His Chosen People, defending them, blessing them, and bearing witness to His faithfulness for such a time as this.
