Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil… Who justify the wicked for a bribe, and take away justice from the righteous man!”
(Isaiah 5:20,23)
The lies and misinformation against Israel have continued relentlessly. Despite the challenges, we are not dismayed. We know we serve a mighty God who is greater than all of this. God is a God of justice, and the truth of His Word is mightier than any blood libel or lie of the enemy. Hallelujah!
Pray for the protection of the Jewish community in the UK: Last week, a knifeman was removing mezuzahs from Jewish homes. This week, Palestine Action were vandalising Jewish-owned shops in London. Pray for God to shield the Jewish people. Pray that the British police and authorities will do everything in their power to hold accountable those who carried out this hatred and violence. And we pray that intimidation and fear will not take hold, but instead that Jews will be emboldened and stand firm in the face of these threats.
Pray for the Gez family: We are heartbroken that another Jewish family is having to bury their baby alongside its mother because of the evil of Hamas terrorism. Pray for Hananel Gez, the husband/father. He is now raising left to raise the couple’s three remaining young children on his own. Pray for God’s comfort to surround this precious family as they grieve. And praise God that Hananel is placing His trust in God. He said: “I thank God that I am alive, and I will be strong in order to continue to be a light to the world. Because we will never let them break us.”
Pray for Ireland: The hatred that is coming out against Israel from Ireland is deeply troubling. Ireland is heading down a dangerous road and needs to repent. Pray that God will raise up Christians in Ireland who will stand firm on God’s Word and speak out against antisemitism and the hatred of Israel.
“I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Genesis 12:3)
Pray for the people of Gaza: The entire situation in Gaza is tragic. As a people, the Palestinians have placed themselves in direct opposition to God. They elected Hamas, support terrorism (including October 7th), and they see Israel’s destruction as their number one priority. Despite this, they are still human beings who God loves and there is hope that they will turn away from evil. Pray that the needs of Gazans will be met through Israel’s aid distribution and that Palestinians will see the goodness of Israel and have their eyes opened to the truth. Pray that the Church in Gaza and Christians there will be able to share the love of Christ in Gaza. Pray that hearts and minds will be turned away from hatred.
