The Biden administration has confirmed to Congress that the Palestinian Authority continues to use international aid money to reward terrorists. This likely means British taxpayers money is supporting Palestinian terrorism against Israel.

The report came to light after a non-public State Department report that was delivered to Congress and obtained through freedom of information by the Washington Free Beacon.

The report details how the Palestinians spent at least $151 million in 2019 on its “pay-to-slay” program. The report also detailed how $191 million was spent on “deceased Palestinians referred to as ‘martyrs’.” This most likely means payments to the families of the deceased.

The report came to light because the Biden Administration is seeking to give aid once again to the Palestinian Authority. President Trump had previously stopped all aid to the Palestinians and Congress passed the Taylor Force Act, a bill that made it illegal for the US to give aid to the Palestinians until payments to terrorists are stopped.

Taylor Force was a US citizen who was murdered at the hands of Palestinian terrorists while he was on vacation in Israel. The terrorists who murdered Taylor are being paid a salary by the PA. CUFI was a key advocate for the Taylor Force Act.

Despite it being illegal for the US to give aid to the Palestinians while the Taylor Force Act is in place, the Biden Administration has indicated that this will not stop them from reimposing aid to the Palestinians, raising serious concerns for pro-Israel advocates.

How does this affect the UK? Well, the UK is currently giving tens-of-millions of pounds each year to the Palestinian Authority. We do this because the Palestinians claim they do not use this money to support terrorism.

The UK knows that the Palestinians pay terrorists. The PA is open about this and regularly uses its payments to ‘martyrs’ as a way to win favour with Palestinian citizens. Our government doesn’t seem to have a problem with this, but they at least want to ensure that British money doesn’t go directly to terrorists.

This actually goes against the UK’s own anti-terror laws which should be enough to stop all aid to the Palestinian Authority until they stop funding terrorists entirely. However, the UK government is intent on funding the Palestinians and looks past their evil actions.

Sadly, based on the findings of the US State Department, it is highly likely that UK taxpayers money is being used directly to fund terrorism against Israel and even pay those who have murdered or attacked British citizens. Even if it isn’t, the UK is still funding an organisation that is funding terrorism. And that is shameful because it is not only wrong but also illegal under British law.
