The Palestinian Authorities official daily newspaper published an op-ed on Saturday calling for a murderous terror attack on the upcoming Holocaust memorial ceremony in Jerusalem.

The call for murder comes as over 40 world leaders gather in Jerusalem this week to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz at the event Remember the Holocaust: Fighting Antisemitism. Prince Charles is one of the dignitaries who will be attending the event.

The paper printed an op-ed written by Yahya Rabah, a regular columnist for the paper who wrote: “One shot will disrupt the ceremony and one dead body will cancel the ceremony.”

It sounds crazy that someone would want to disrupt a well-meaning event such as this at all, let alone by killing someone. However, This is exactly the same irrational hatred that drove the anti-Semitism of the Holocaust and continues to stir up hatred against the Jewish state today.

The author does acknowledge that the “Jews’ Holocaust is terrible”, but said that the world sees what he claimed was a “Palestinian Holocaust by Israel” as being “insignificant, beautiful, [and] spectacular”. He then claimed that Jerusalem was Palestinian and therefore “it can be assumed that they [Palestinians] will resist the ceremony”.

Terrorism is not the answer. Sadly, the PA, which is often referred to as Israel’s “partner for peace”, have long advocated for terrorism against Israel and they once again seek to wield violence against the Jews to protest against a ceremony marking the Holocaust, the largest genocide in history that was fuelled by anti-Semitism.

Here is a larger excerpt of op-ed by Yahya Rabah, a regular columnist for the official PA daily

Headline: “This is Israel on the edge of the abyss!”

“Israel has shaken off everything from international law, to humanitarian international law, the decisions of the international bodies, and the beginning of the International Criminal Court’s investigation (Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda’s statements on Jan. 10, 2020 that there is reason to investigate Israel and “members of Hamas and Palestinian armed groups” for war crimes –Ed.). Moreover, it is now energetically planning to hold a ceremony for the Holocaust in occupied Jerusalem, and it is accustomed to the world participating with it in this ceremony, as the Jews’ Holocaust is terrible, but the Palestinian holocaust by Israel that still continues is insignificant, beautiful, spectacular, and good. Of course, the Palestinians will never accept this equation, and it can be assumed that they will resist the ceremony being held in Jerusalem itself, as Jerusalem is theirs, despite [US President Donald] Trump who gave it to Israel as part of the filthy deal of the century. One shot will disrupt the ceremony and one dead body will cancel the ceremony. And despite the misery of the Arabs and their dissatisfaction with what is happening, they are capable, if even for just a moment, of not following in the steps of Israel and America who are determining for them who their enemies are and who their friends are.”
