A synagogue in Leeds has been targeted by anti-Semitic vandals. A swastika and the word “kikes”, an offensive term for Jews, was daubed on the synagogues external sign.

The words “Kikes Get Out” was also spray-painted on the driveway outside the synagogue gates.

The Jewish News reports that CST is working closely with the synagogue and the police.

A spokesperson for CST said, “As you might expect, such vile graffiti in a prominent location in the heart of the Jewish community has caused widespread upset and concern.”

The synagogue is situated in Alwoodley, an area of north Leeds with a significant Jewish community.
