Shira Ish-Ran, the pregnant woman who was severely wounded and lost her baby boy  in a West Bank shooting attack earlier this week, vowed on Thursday to have “many more babies” in response to the terror attack.

The 21-year-old Israeli who was 30 weeks pregnant, was seriously wounded in a Palestinian terror shooting on Sunday. Doctors were forced to prematurely delivered her baby in an emergency C-section in an attempt to save her child. Sadly, her baby died in a Jerusalem hospital on Wednesday.

On Thursday, after her condition improved further and a day after her four-day-old son was laid to rest, Shira vowed, in her first remarks since the attack:

“I will prove to them, I will show them. I will bring many more babies into this world. Am Yisrael Chai (the nation of Israel lives).”

This is the strength of an Israeli mother.

Shira and her husband named their son Amiad Israel, which means the Jewish people will be in the land of Israel forever. And no doubt her children and grandchildren will be among those dwelling in the land of their forefathers.
