In this Monday’s weekly teaching, CUFI’s Alastair Kirk spoke of the importance of hating the evil of anti-Semitism in the third part of “Love without hypocrisy, abhor what is evil, cling to what is good.”

“If someone says they love God but hates the Jewish people then that is ‘love with hypocrisy’,” Alastair said, “If you say that you love God and want to see the State of Israel wiped out from the river to the sea, then that is ‘Love with hypocrisy’. In fact it isn’t even love. It is evil. You remember what our verse said, ‘Abhor what is evil’. Reject the evil of anti-Semitism. Let it disgust you. Back away from it. Have nothing to do with it. Push it away. Throw it out. Cast it off. You can’t cling to what is good and at the same time hold disdain in your heart towards God’s chosen people.””

Abhor what is evil – Romans 12:9

In this third part of "Let love be without hypocrisy, abhor what is evil, cling to what is good", CUFI's Alastair Kirk explains that "abhor what is evil" can translate, "have a strong hate for evil". We need discernment in a world that has confused what God considers good and completely "reject and push away" all forms of what the Bible describes as evil, including the evil of anti-Semitism."You can’t cling to what is good and at the same time hold disdain in your heart towards God’s chosen people."
