“What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” – Romans 8:31

This week we want to encourage you that, even though you may feel overwhelmed or outnumbered when standing up for Israel, you can always trust in God. Even if the whole world turns against Israel, if there is a remnant, God will use them for His glory.

An amazing example of this is found in the book of Judges when the Midianites invaded the land of Israel.

Gideon was a man of God, and he had an army of 32,000 soldiers. They were vastly outnumbered by the Midianites who had 135,000 soldiers. That didn’t mean anything to God. In fact, he told Gideon to let every man who was fearful go home. So, 22,000 of them left and Gideon had just 10,000 men to fight the Midianites. God wanted to prove His power and so he reduced Gideons army further to just 300 men. And these were not chosen because they were the most skilled fighters or the most holy men, but instead based on how they drank water.

God used Gideon and his 300 men to scare off an army that was much greater. He did this to demonstrate His power in defending the Jewish people.

Today, Israel again is facing great odds, but God is still on their side! Let’s pray:

  • Pray for all of us reading this prayer letter to have the boldness of Gideon even if they are standing against the odds. Just as the Lion of Judah roars from Jerusalem, may Christian Zionists roar for Israel in their churches without fear.
  • Pray that the message of CUFI will penetrate the hearts of Christians to help them see through the lies and understand Biblical truth. Pray that our work will impact the Church and encourage Christians to take a stand.
  • Pray that God will fight for Israel in every arena of battle, whether in Gaza, in politics, or in the media. Pray that Godly men and women will be used mightily in these areas to speak truth against the onslaught of lies.
