Our vision for CUFI is simple; to unite Christians in support of Israel. Having a name like Christians United for Israel, you could say CUFI ‘does exactly what it says on the tin.’

Christian unity is vital if we want to see our nation stand with Israel. A weak and divided Church cannot be impactful in our nation. Unfortunately, Israel is one of the most divisive issues in the Church today.

“For You have established for Yourself Your people Israel
as Your own people forever, and You, Lord,
have become their God.”
– 2 Samuel 7:24

From God’s perspective, He identifies Israel as a people as well as a nation. This is important for Christians to recognise. In God’s eyes, Israel and Jews are interwoven and cannot be separated. The land also can never be separated from the Jewish people. It is part of their eternal inheritance, given to them forever by God Almighty, and no man can take that away.

While the Church may not fully understand this, the enemy understands it well. This is why antisemitism (hatred of the Jews) is woven into the anti-Israel movement and cannot be separated. Every aspect of anti-Israel activism, from protests on the streets of London, to biased resolutions at the United Nations, and anti-Israel sermons in pulpits, are being influenced by the same entity whose demonic aim is to destroy Israel as a nation and the Jews as a people.

It’s a travesty that Jews who have experienced the worst atrocity since the Holocaust are now experiencing the highest levels of antisemitism in recorded history. This is why a big part of what CUFI does is to stand with the Jewish community against antisemitism.

Earlier this month, I had the privilege of meeting with Jewish leaders in London. During our meeting I heard them explain the challenges they faced. One clear message coming through was that the Jewish community is feeling vulnerable and isolated. I felt ashamed and deeply saddened that Jews feel so alone in Britain.

It is not surprising that certain communities have turned against the Jews. But Christians? Surely not! After all, Christians have the Bible for instruction and the Holy Spirit for guidance. Christians should understand that we owe so much to the Jewish people. It was through them that Jesus came into the world and through Him that God’s perfect plan for redemption was fulfilled. And Christians also have Bible prophecy to explain God’s plans and purposes for Israel in the End Times.

Sadly, many prominent leaders within the Church either don’t understand or don’t accept these Biblical truths. Replacement theology, the false belief that the Church has replaced Israel, has taken root in too many Christian denominations, poisoning their understanding of Scripture. Christian leaders may stand in public and pay lip service to the Jewish community when speaking out against antisemitism, but they are failing the Jewish community, and the God that they serve, when they refuse to stand with Israel. Because in God’s eyes, Israel and the Jewish people are inseparable.

It is also a growing concern that some church leaders are reticent to raise the subject of Israel in their pulpits because it is ‘too controversial.’ Now, more than ever before the truth must be proclaimed.

At CUFI, we strongly believe that anti-Zionism is antisemitism. Likewise, we do not believe you can truly tackle antisemitism without a Biblical understanding of Israel. This is a very serious matter. Ignorance is one thing, but those who challenge Israel’s very existence are acting in outright disobedience to God’s Word. They oppose God’s plans and purposes for Israel, in which Christians should play an active role, and it hinders the unity between Christians and Jews.

As the saying goes, united we stand, divided we fall. This is Israel’s hour of need. This is the time when Jews should feel the greatest support from their Christian neighbours.

As Pastor Hagee says, “If a line must be drawn, draw it around Christians and Jews. We are united.” The enemies of Israel need to understand that the bonds that bind Christians and Jews together are unbreakable. The Church and Israel are united by God.

Christians United for Israel has an important role in reconnecting the Church to Israel so it can fulfil its God-given role of praying for the peace of Jerusalem, demonstrating love towards the Jewish people, and blessing the nation of Israel.

We cannot do this alone. CUFI needs your prayers and your financial support to ensure that our work continues to make a difference in these challenging times.

If the Church was fulfilling its role, CUFI would not need to exist. Instead, CUFI is needed more than ever before. Please stand with us in prayer and giving so we can show the love of Christ to His people.

Christians must ensure Jews never feel alone again.
