Tel Aviv’s city hall lit up with colours of the American flag following the riot at the Capitol building on Wednesday afternoon.
“Tonight, we will light up the municipality building with the US flag to strengthen and respect the land of the free and the home of the brave,” Huldai said, quoting “The Star-Spangled Banner,” the US national anthem.
The Tel Aviv municipality tweeted a picture of the city hall saying, “The Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality building is lit up tonight with the #US flag, in solidarity with our friends from the United States of America. The city of #TelAviv will always support #democracy and nonviolence.”
