The Queen has sent her congratulations to Israel’s President Rivlin on the anniversary of Israel’s independence 69 years ago.
The message, relayed by the UK embassy in Tel Aviv on Wednesday quoted The Queen saying, “It gives me great pleasure to send Your Excellency my congratulations on the celebration of your National Day, together with my best wishes for the happiness of the people of Israel in the coming year”.
The greeting follows an reports in March that a member of the Royal Family is planning to visit Israel during the year.
