Iran’s senior military commander threatened to “annihilate” the UK and other nations and Hezbollah’s second-in-command labelled Britain and the US as “leading terrorist entities”. These wild accusations come as the Iranian regime continues its funding of terrorism in the Middle East and brutally oppresses their people.
Iranian civilians have been taking to the streets in recent weeks to protest against their brutal rulers. The dictators of Tehran are funding terrorism against Israel and other Middle Eastern countries whilst their own people suffer within a crumbling economy. Fed up with Khamenei’s rule, hundreds-of-thousands have protested. Whilst it is fair to say that fuel prices sparked this latest round of protests, it is not right to claim these are simply “fuel protests”. There are numerous examples of protesters accusing the government of wasting their money on terrorism and foreign wars instead of investing in the Iranian economy. Chants of “Not Gaza, not Lebanon, my life only for Iran”.
This is in reference to Iran’s funding of Hamas and PIJ terrorists in Gaza and Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon. All funded by Iran in their maniacal attempts to destroy Israel whilst the Iranian economy and people suffer.
In response to these calls for change, Iran has brutally oppressed its people. First, blocking the country from accessing the internet and then violently attacking peaceful protesters – killing up to 1,000 innocent Iranians.
As Iran struggles to contain the anger of its people, which rightly blames the Iranian leadership for their troubles. Iran looks to lash out in an effort divert the negativity away from itself.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei blamed “foreign enemies” for inciting the riots and said that “all the centres of the world’s wickedness” would cheer the protesters.
Major General Hossein Salami, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, threatened to “annihilate” the United States, Britain, Israel, and Saudi Arabia if these countries attempt any military action against Iran.
“You have experienced our power in the battlefield and received a powerful slap across your face and could not respond; the world has come to observe some of these slaps, while it has not in some other cases,” Salami was quoted as saying on Tuesday during a military rally. “You should wait. If you cross our redlines, we will annihilate you.”
Despite these threats and the brutal oppression of its people, Iran is still trying to keep on side with the European Union. Shamefully, it appears the EU is less concerned with human rights or holding a brutal dictatorship to account and instead is willing to continue funnelling money into the pockets of Tehran as long as it profits Europe. And that is exactly what is happening.
Europe, and especially the people of Britain, need to understand that Iran and its terrorist proxies are a threat to both Israel and the West. They are not seeking a nuclear weapon for self-defence. The expressed aim of the Ayatollah’s is that they want to wipe out Israel and then the West. So why do we not take them at their word?
Sharing a short audio clip from BBC Radio 4, Israel’s Ambassador to the UK wrote, “Hezbollah’s second-in-command Naim Qassem just called Britain and America ‘leading terrorist entities'”, before adding, “How can anyone still believe Hezbollah is only a threat to Israel?”.

This is a rich claim coming from Hezbollah, a banned terrorist organisation. Hezbollah is under the direct control of the Iranian regime which funds terrorist activities around the world. Iran is lashing out at the West as they try to divert attention from their failing economy and convince their people that the real enemies are not the dictators of Tehran, but in fact, the West.
This narrative is not working on the Iranian people. Even though they are being brutally oppressed, Iranians are taking to the streets to protest against their government because they know the truth. And it is time the West wakes up and realises the threat the dictators of Iran are to Israel and the West.
