Since 8th October, more than 7,500 rockets have been fired by Hezbollah at Israel. Between 80-100 thousand Israeli citizens in the north have been displaced for their own safety, longing to return to their homes. The Hezbollah terror group has repeatedly expressed full support for Hamas, and the Iranian regime has deepened its coordination between the Lebanese-based Islamist group and Hamas, PIJ and the Houthis. The latter was responsible for a long-range ballistic missile that exploded over Israel this week – the first of its kind to reach Israel and a sign that the Yemen-based Islamist group has the capability and desire to harm Israel. It’s important to recognise this active threat to Israel when considering the unprecedented attack that we witnessed in Lebanon this week, where thousands of Hezbollah members had hand-held electronic devices blast simultaneously, killing dozens of terrorists and injuring thousands more. This was the largest cyber-attack in world history. The targeting of these Hezbollah members has sent shockwaves across the terror group, and sent a strong warning to its leaders, to Iran, and to other terror groups in the region. Not only this, but Hezbollah’s communication infrastructure has been significantly hampered. It has weakened the group, at least temporarily, possibly thwarted some of its plans, and has instilled an atmosphere of fear among Israel’s enemy – Do not touch the apple of God’s eye!

This widespread assault on Hezbollah happened without a single shot being fired. The ultra-precision of the explosions targeting thousands of Hezbollah members caused minimal collateral damage to the public, something other methods would not have achieved.

The Bible frequently speaks of God sending Israel’s enemies into a state of confusion. Pray that Hezbollah with withdraw its evil agenda against Israel. Pray for wisdom for Israel’s leaders as they plan their next moves. Pray for the IDF and for Israel’s continued operation. Pray for the protection of Israel’s borders to the north and the south. Hezbollah will undoubtedly desire to take revenge, but pray that any plot will utterly fail. Pray for the people of Lebanon who have suffered under Hezbollah’s tightening grip, and for the large Christian community there. And let us continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Am Yisrael Chai – the nation of Israel lives.

‘No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.’
