Antisemitism is rising around the world. This week we have witnessed several horrific attacks.
In London, a woman was arrested after walking the streets with a knife and telling Jews they are the problem in the world. In New York, a man was filmed punching and kicking Jewish children, and stomping on one of them as they fell to the ground. In France, a man armed with a knife was shot dead by police after he firebombed a synagogue. In Belgium, a Jewish father and daughter were physically attacked at a train station.
This is just a selection of events that happened this week. We must pray fervently for the protection of the Jewish people.
- We pray for the protection of the Jewish community in the UK, Europe, America, and around the world. May Heaven’s angels stand on guard at every synagogue and Jewish community centre.
- We pray for the governments in the West to do more to protect Jews. We pray they will wake up to the evil of Islamic extremism and the reality that anti-Zionism is antisemitism.
- We rebuke the distortion of the truth in the media and the lies spreading on social media that are fuelling antisemitic hatred around the world.
- We pray for courage for Christians to stand up for Jews in their community and online to the love of Christ to their Jewish friends and that they are not alone.
