Jehovah-Jireh, the LORD will provide.
His Word is certain. His Word is sure.
We give thanks for all that God has provided.
The Promise-Maker is the Promise-Keeper.

When God provided a Lamb for Abraham in substitute of Isaac, the Lord reminded Abraham of His eternal grace, continual provision to His chosen, and the fulfilment of faith. “In the Mount of the LORD it shall be provided,” the Scripture says.

After providing the Lamb, God reaffirmed His everlasting covenant with Abraham.

“Then the Angel of the Lord called to Abraham a second time out of heaven, and said: ‘By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son— blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.’” (Genesis 22:15-18)

So rich and secure was His promise – He swore by His own Name for there was no higher Name than God Himself (Hebrews 6:13). So breathtaking was the magnitude of His covenant, a universe of stars could not convey the unfathomable spread of God’s love to this special people. A nation was born under a covenant of blessing. A nation would grow and thrive because of this unfolding promise. And the nations would be blessed because of God’s provision through this chosen nation. But the provision didn’t stop there. Standing on the mount, Abraham and Isaac were told their children would experience the supernatural invention of God Almighty Himself. “Your descendants shall posses the gate of their enemies.”

Don’t miss it. The Abraham and Isaac’s descendants would have enemies, but they would overcome. The enemies of God would not succeed.

Today, the enemies of Israel have this in common: they want to wipe out Israel’s possession. When they call for Israel to be destroyed, they are doing Satan’s bidding. For the enemy of God wants to cut off the promise. Satan wants to destroy the covenant.

It comes in many attempts. “The mount” that God’s presence dwelt among His people – denied. The city that God chose for His people – divided. The nation He chose – replaced. The good name of Israel – smeared. The army of Israel – weakened. The Land God set apart in covenant – invaded. The descendants who are inheritors – killed.

But remember this promise:
Israel will possess the gates of its enemy.
The gates of hell will not prevail.
The enemies of Israel will not succeed.
God will defend His Holy Name.
God will keep His covenant.
God will perform His perfect plan.

Pray for Israel today as enemies rage against it.
Am Yisrael Chai. The nation of Israel lives.
