“I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”Genesis 12:3

Understanding how Christians should treat the Jewish people is as easy as 1, 2, 3. Or Genesis 12:3 to be precise.

God promised Abraham in Genesis 12 that He would bless anyone who blesses the Jewish people, that He would curse anyone who curses the Jewish people, and that through the Jewish people, the world would be blessed.

There are many ways that the world has been blessed by the Jewish people, and continue to be blessed by Israel, but the greatest gift is clearly Jesus, who was born a Jew, and as He Himself said, ‘salvation is of the Jews.’

Today, we want to pray that the world will wake up to this amazing gift and the good things God has done and will do through and for Israel and the Jewish people.

  • Pray that the Church will recognise the debt of gratitude they owe the Jewish people. That Christian watchmen will rise up in prayer for Israel and the Jewish people.
  • Pray that the Church will reject the false teaching of ‘Replacement Theology’ and that hearts and minds will be transformed from cursing to blessing Israel.
  • Pray for the work of CUFI, the many will come to know the truth about Israel through our work. Also, pray that many more people will stand alongside CUFI so we can bless Israel physically just as we have this week with a large donation towards emergency medical equipment in Israel.
  • Pray that the Jewish people will continue to innovate and develop technologies, medicines, and other things that will be a physical blessing to the world.
  • Pray that all people will recognise the greatest gift given to the world through the Jewish nation and that love and fellowship will blossom between Christians and Jews.
