The UK has elected its new Government and the Labour party has emerged victorious. Our supporters have diverse political opinions. For some, a Labour government gives them hope for the future, others may feel despair, whilst many will be wondering if they will notice any difference at all.
As a non-partisan organisation, CUFI is committed to holding the UK government accountable regardless of who is in power.
We are also committed to reminding the Church that standing with Israel is not a political issue. The Bible is the foundation of our Christian belief in standing with Israel.
It is God who founded Zionism when He promised Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob that He would establish them in the land of Israel and give it to their descendants as an eternal inheritance. It is God who performed countless miracles for the Jewish people. It is God who scattered the Jewish people throughout the nations. And it is God who enabled their return to the land after centuries in exile and promised to never again allow them to be removed.
The Bible is also clear that God will bless the nations that bless Israel. We want to see Britain blessed by God. Therefore, we will continue to lobby parliament and hold the British government to account on how it treats Israel and the Jewish people.
