Alex and Alastair reflect on the 80th anniversary of D-Day and particularly the radio broadcast made by King George VI on 6 June 1944 in which the the King called on people throughout the nation and the world to stop what they were doing and pray. They share their thoughts on a few elements of the King’s call to prayer and the impact of his leadership and example. They consider how we can apply today in relation to Israel, suggesting that we should not be reluctant to pray for victory in the battle against evil.
