This week, in the United States capital city, a terrorist murdered two young Israeli Embassy staffers, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, and wounded four others outside of a Jewish event supporting humanitarian needs around the world. That’s the heart of the Children of Israel – life and light. The gunman who was hunting Jews shouted, “Free Palestine.” That’s the heart of the allies of Hamas.
Yaron was planning to propose to Sarah in Jerusalem. He never got the chance to ask; she never got the chance to say yes – that magnificent moment, and so much more, were stolen by the movement to “Free Palestine.”
In the wake of the deadly and antisemitic terror attack, Pastor John Hagee released the following statement:
“May the God of all hope comfort those who mourn as we weep for Yaron and Sarah. We pray for their loved ones and continue to stand resolutely with Israel and the Jewish people against this unmitigated evil. If there is a line to be drawn, then draw it around both Christians and Jews, for we are one. This terror attack reminds the world that Jew hatred begins with words, but it doesn’t end there.
Our thoughts and prayers are with our friends at the Israeli Embassy and the American Jewish Committee. The terrorists will not win, and those who wish to globalize the intifada will be defeated. Know this, the Jewish people and Israel are not alone, not today, not ever.”
Israel is a light unto the nations. Her enemies are darkness itself. And we will stand in the gap. Israel is not alone, not last night, not on October 7th, Never Again!
