A number of bullets have been placed outside a French synagogue and inside its mailbox on two separate occasions in one week. Police are trying to work out if the action is a prank or something more serious.

The incident took place two weeks ago at the synagogue in Le Havre in northern France’s Upper Normandy region, but was reported this week by French newspaper Paris Normandie.

“The first discovery took place on Monday, November 28, it was municipal police officers who saw the projectiles”, says a member of the Jewish community. “The second discovery took place on Friday, December 2, there were two bullets in the mailbox, and six or seven others on the ground in front of the front door.”
