Anti-Israel institutions highlight how the world’s wisdom is foolishness to God

“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, ‘He catches the wise in their own craftiness.’” – 1 Corinthians 3:19

Governments, global bodies, legal institutions, and media outlets are often found in opposition to God, especially on issues concerning Israel.

The United Nations has long been the epicentre of global antisemitism, condemning Israel more than all other countries combined. It has passed resolutions that deny the Jewish people—and only the Jewish people—the right to their homeland. Too many see a United Nations resolution as “gospel truth,” though it is a flawed document created by fallible individuals.

Jews are the only people with a deed to their homeland enshrined in the Bible, the most important document in existence. Regardless of how many UN resolutions pass against Israel, they are ultimately worthless if they do not align with God’s Word.

Similarly, UN agencies like UNRWA are often portrayed as beacons of aid to the Palestinian people, and while some of their work is beneficial, most of UNRWA’s funding goes toward staffing and education, producing troubling results. UNRWA is reportedly indoctrinating Palestinian children with a pro-Jihadist, anti-Israel curriculum, ultimately advancing Hamas’s agenda. Their refugee policy essentially demands that all Palestinians should be allowed to live in Israel with equal rights, which threatens Israel’s very existence.

The demand for the “right of return” would, if enacted, see Palestinians flood into Israel, effectively ending its status as a Jewish state. This tactic uses refugees as political tools with the end goal of dismantling Israel’s identity and sovereignty. Peace cannot come through agencies like UNRWA, which foster division rather than reconciliation.

Once again, the world views such institutions as untouchable, yet they stand in stark contrast to God’s covenant that the land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people as an eternal inheritance.

Another institution that is seen as credible yet acts as an enemy of truth is Al Jazeera, the Qatari-funded media outlet. Sadly, many media organizations, including the BBC, view Al Jazeera as a source of integrity, uncritically accepting their reports. However, Al Jazeera is funded by Qatar, which also sponsors Hamas. Hamas’s main base outside Gaza is in Doha, Qatar—the same city where Al Jazeera is headquartered. In 2021, the IDF destroyed a building in Gaza housing Al Jazeera’s offices. While some claimed this was an attack on press freedom, in reality, Hamas was using the building as an intelligence hub, launching cyberattacks on Israel and broadcasting propaganda, with Al Jazeera’s presence providing cover for these operations.

UNRWA also has connections with Hamas. In Gaza, Hamas was found operating directly beneath UNRWA’s main headquarters, with UNRWA’s own electricity supplying the Hamas base. It’s impossible to believe that somehow UNWRA were unaware of Hamas occupying the basement of their building. This physical link mirrors a deeper spiritual reality: these organizations share a destructive agenda.

Despite these connections, many remain hard headed and refuse to acknowledge the truth. Even without these direct links, their work advances the same agenda as Hamas, opposing Israel’s existence and the Jews rights at every turn.

The world is deceived into viewing organizations opposing Israel as good.

“And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.” – 2 Corinthians 11:14

We must remain vigilant against the enemy’s schemes.

“We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.” – 1 John 5:19

Israel is the land God gave to the Jewish people. Though the world will rise against Israel, a faithful remnant will stand with it. That remnant is the Church. Christians must stay united in support of Israel, praying without ceasing, as we engage in a spiritual battle. We must speak truth about Israel despite the world’s lies and help other Christians understand this truth. With the Bible as their foundation, there is hope they will see through the enemy’s lies and align their hearts with God’s.
