As always, we’ve included articles that we believe will encourage you in your stand with Israel. It is always inspiring to read of individuals who have overcome obstacles to break new ground. I’m sure you will agree that the story of Shirly Pinto, the first deaf member of Israel’s current Knesset, is a wonderful example of this.

Oftentimes, we’re not always aware of the Jewish connection to things that we take for granted every day. For example, did you know that the founder of the world’s first video gaming console was a former Jewish refugee who escaped Nazi Germany with his family? Or that the Jewish couple who invented the world renowned Häagen-Dazs ice cream did so to honour Denmark saving Jews, and subsequently supported the Zionist cause? As Christians, the most important Jewish connection is that to our faith. Our article, The Jewishness of Jesus, is a helpful reminder of this. It is a concise explanation about Jesus being Jewish and answers the question of whether or not He celebrated the Jewish feasts.

Torch magazine from CUFI UK is packed with encouraging articles that will inspire and equip you in your stand with Israel and the Jewish people. The magazine is available to read online or receive by post!

The magazine covers stories that highlight the United Kingdom’s strong relationship with Israel. We provide historical accounts that celebrate the long-standing legacy of Britain’s support for Zionism and acknowledge the Judeo-Christian roots of our nation. We also aim to encourage our readers to stand against anti-Semitism, and honour those who have courageously done so without wavering. We also give insight to some of the ways in which Israel is having a positive impact on the world.
