Please pray for CUFI UK! This weekend CUFI has a stand at the Big Church Festival in West Sussex. Please pray that our presence at this event, attended by 35,000 people, will have an impact. Please pray that we will reach as many Christians as possible with the important message that Christians should stand with Isreal and the Jewish people. We want to tell as many people as possible about God’s love for His people and why supporting Israel matters for the church in the UK.

With Keir Starmer’s ultimatum to Israel fast approaching (9th September), CUFI will visit the UK Foreign Office before the end of next week on an important mission. We will be presenting our ‘No State for Jew Hate’ petition, which now has over 12,000 signatures. Please pray for this crucial visit and that the petition will send a clear message to the UK government that Britain should not reward Hamas with a Palestinian state.

Let us continue to pray for the United Kingdom. The word ‘Brit’ means “covenant” in Hebrew and implies the shedding of blood in the process of ratifying an agreement. The word “Brit” is used throughout the Hebrew Scriptures, used especially for the several covenants made by God with His people, including the covenant He made with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob concerning the Land of Israel. Our prayer is that “Brit-ain” will be guardians and upholders of the promise God made to Israel and be faithful in keeping our own promise in standing with the Jewish people.

Many people across the country have noticed how Palestinian flags flown in public are protected, but the British and English flags are quickly removed. This is just the ‘tip of the ice-berg’ when it comes to how the Palestinianization of Britain has been forced by an obsessive cult-like behaviour by those calling for intifada against the Jewish state, and among those who are quick to sympathise and defend the actions of Israel’s enemies. But the reaction by the British public in flying UK and English flags in response is showing that there is growing discontent, and many are awakened to the problem that those who are against Israel are also against Britain. There is also a recognition that the ideologies behind Jew-hated are also incompatible with Britain’s Christian heritage, which is built upon Judeo-Christian values. As Christians, we have an opportunity to proclaim truth to this nation by sharing that Britain will be blessed by blessing Israel. The UK needs to return to the God of Israel – by doing so, our country will find restoration, healing and guidance, and the strongholds of the enemy will be trodden down. As many people seek to counter the present challenges by celebrating their national identity, let us pray that many will have their hearts open to the One True God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and experience the transformative power of His Word.
