“He changes times and seasons; He removes kings and sets up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.” (Daniel 2:21)
This week we have witnessed the changing of a season as President Donald Trump has returned to the White House and is undoing some of the anti-Israel policies of the past four years.
It is our opinion that wise decisions are being made that have positively impacted multiple arenas of anti-Israel discourse. Israel is strengthened as President Trump has lifted US restrictions upon it, and Israel’s enemies have been weakened as President Trump has resumed sanctions against them.
This is just the start of President Trump’s second term and we need to hold him and those he has around him in prayer so they continue to stand up for Israel and defend our Christian values. We also need to pray that our own nation will be impacted in a positive way.
With this in mind, here are this week’s prayer points:
Pray for America: Praise the Lord that President Donald Trump has kept his word and is standing boldly with Israel. We pray that the President will have wisdom in all his dealings with Israel. The Bible says God will bless the nation that blesses Israel, and we pray that President Trump and the American people themselves will see the mighty hand of God upon their nation and realise this Biblical principle for themselves. May America turn back to God during this season.
Pray for the UK: Pray that our government will be challenged and inspired to change course regarding Israel. Pray for our leaders, that Keir Starmer will take to heart the lessons he has learned from visiting Auschwitz. Pray that the UK government comes to understand that the antisemitism of the past is the same hatred as the antisemitism we are seeing on the streets of London every week. Pray that the British people will turn back to God so there will be real change in our land.
Pray for Israel: Pray that the Jewish people will continue to thrive in their homeland. Pray for the release of all the hostages and for wisdom for Israel’s leaders and military as they navigate these difficult times. Pray that Israel will realise that their hope does not come from presidents, allies, or themselves, but that their hope comes from God Almighty. May their eyes be opened to this.
Pray that the leaders and peoples of America, the UK, and Israel, will seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.
