“My people, My heritage Israel…” (Joel 3:2b)
These are not just poetic words. God calls Israel His people, His inheritance. The Jewish people are precious to Him. He defends them. He has made covenants with them. And He warns the nations not to touch what belongs to Him. So why do the nations rage?
We are seeing a dangerous surge in antisemitism. From conspiracy theories to violent attacks, from political double standards to spiritual compromise, the hatred is undeniable. Do people not realise they are aligning themselves against God? Do they not sense the darkness that fuels such hatred? God will not stay silent. Those who rise against His people will be held to account.
It’s a sobering thought. With this in mind let us pray.
Pray for the UK Government: Labour’s shift in policy is deeply concerning. From their rhetoric at the UN to their refusal to face the truth about Hamas, they are walking in deception. Pray that their eyes will be opened. Pray for repentance, courage, and clarity to return to our government, and that the UK would not curse God’s people.
Pray for CUFI UK’s New Campaign: We have launched our “No State for Jew Hate” campaign. The UK recognising a Palestinian state at this time is a grave mistake. It rewards terrorism and undermines the promises of God. The Lord warns: “I will enter into judgment… on account of My people, My heritage Israel… and they have divided up My land.” (Joel 3:2) Pray that CUFI’s campaign will be heard clearly in the halls of power. That the Church will unite behind this Godly cause, and that the UK government will not take this disastrous step.
Pray against rising global antisemitism: From a firebomb attack in Colorado to attacks on Jewish businesses in London, the hatred is real and rising. Pray for God’s protection over Jewish communities. Pray for boldness and unity among Jews that they will stand together and draw closer to God.
Pray for the Church in Britain to stand with Israel: The Church should be a voice of truth, but too often it has joined the world in turning against Israel. Polls show the majority of people in the UK view Israel negatively. Worse still, many Christians do too. Pray for revival in the Church. Pray that believers will stand with God’s Word and with His people, and not be led astray by the spirit of the age.
