“For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not keep quiet, Until her righteousness goes forth like brightness, And her salvation like a torch that is burning.” – Isaiah 62:1
CUFI has just concluded its 20th Annual Summit in Washington DC, bringing together thousands of Christians from around the world (including the CUFI UK team) who are united in their love for Israel and commitment to biblical truth. The event featured powerful messages from Christian and Jewish leaders who boldly defended Israel’s goodness while also affirming the enduring promises of Scripture. It was a timely and urgent reminder that now, more than ever, Christians must take a stand for Israel, must combat antisemitism, and defend the truth of God’s Word.
Also, this year CUFI UK marks its 10th anniversary, we give thanks to the Lord for a decade of faithful ministry. Over these ten years, CUFI UK has equipped Christians across the country to speak out for Israel, educated churches with biblical teaching, and engaged with our politicians to counter anti-Israel bias and antisemitism. We are encouraged by what God has done and we are pressing forward because the job is far from over.
Here are this week’s prayer points:
Pray for CUFI: Pray that the Lord will continue to guide and strengthen our mission both in the UK and US. Pray that our movement will ignite the Church to stand boldly with Israel. Pray that we will have wisdom and courage to defend Christian Zionism and proclaim the truth of Scripture without compromise, even in the face of growing opposition.
Pray for the British government: Following yet more open hatred against Israel with seemingly little action, as well as shameful comments against Israel by government ministers, it is clear that Britain needs to change. We pray that our government will turn away from policies, rhetoric, and ideologies that curse Israel, and instead align itself with God’s promise in Genesis 12:3 to bless those who bless His people. Pray for leaders in Parliament and the Church to speak up for truth and justice concerning Israel.
Pray for the United States: America is Israel’s strongest ally right now and we pray this friendship will not only remain strong but will increase. We thank God that President Trump and the American military took action against the existential threat of Iran, and we pray that the IDF and its allies will continue to thwart this danger. We pray for protection over the Jewish community in the US and that American leaders will continue to understand the importance of standing with Israel on the world stage.
