“The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.”
(Deuteronomy 28:7)

Israel is fighting a war for its very survival. Since 1948, the enemies of Israel have repeatedly tried to wipe out the Jewish state. Israel never started any of the wars it has fought, but it has won every single one. Why? Because God is on their side.

Just as Israel is in a fight for its survival, the nations around the world are in a fight for their own survival. Will they bow down to the forces of evil, or will they stand with Israel on the side of God? Britain is at a crossroads, and it is time for the Church to arise, to stand up and be counted, for Zion’s sake.

With this in mind, here are this week’s prayer points:

• Praise the Lord that once again Iran’s attack against Israel was largely neutralised. Continue to pray for the protection of the Jewish people, for Israel, and for the IDF who are fighting a war on multiple fronts. Pray that the children of Israel will be able to sleep at peace every night knowing that the God of Israel is watching over them.

• Pray for the families of those who were murdered in the brutal Hamas terror attack on Tuesday evening, which left seven civilians dead. Pray especially for the 9-month-old baby who is now growing up without a mother as she was killed while he lay in his pushchair next to her.

• Pray for the Jewish community in the UK after reports show there has been a threefold increase in antisemitism in our country. Pray that the Church will do more to reach out to them and show they are not alone. Pray that our nation will wake up to the reality that anti-Israel hatred is the same as antisemitism.

• Pray for the event in Hyde Park this Sunday to commemorate the October 7th massacres. Pray for protection over the event, for wisdom for the organisers and police, and for strength for all those gathering there. Pray that many Christians will be bold enough to stand up for Israel as a sign of solidarity with the Jewish community.
