This week Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited Washington, spoke to Congress, and met with American leaders.

The US-Israel relationship is of significant importance to the Jewish State and it remains strong, but this week we saw some cracks showing when a number of politicians boycotted Netanyahu’s speech.

  • Pray for the US elections. That God’s hand will be upon America as it votes in its new President.
  • Pray that the United States will remain a true friend of Israel and stand fully behind Israel’s right to defend itself.
  • Pray that US politicians will remain strong and not be cowed by the anti-Israel mobs on the streets. CUFI’s Washington Summit is taking place this weekend and members of the CUFI UK Team will be there. Please pray for our team and for success at the event.
  • Pray for God’s protection and blessing upon the event – upon the staff, the delegates and the special guests who will be attending and speaking.
  • Pray for CUFI’s impact in America. That this event will encourage Christians in the United States to raise their voices and effect positive change in their nation.

The UK has also made headlines with a shift in certain positions which are less favourable to Israel, from the funding of UNRWA to the tune of $21 million to the UK government’s unwillingness to protect Prime Minister Netanyahu from unjust arrest warrants, these changes in policy are deeply concerning from CUFI’s perspective.

  • Pray that the UK government will not join the anti-Israel discourse or follow other nations in their anti-Israel approaches, but instead choose its own path in dealing with Israel.
  • Pray for the effectiveness of CUFI in Britain to galvanise support for Israel in the Church and in raising the Christian perspective to our government.
