A Palestinian has stabbed three Israelis in the central city of Raanana, seriously wounding one of them, before being shot and arrested by Israeli forces.
According to JTA, the 20-year-old Palestinian, from the West Bank, who was illegally living in Israel, stabbed three people on a residential street on Saturday afternoon after unsuccessfully trying to enter a synagogue, and then entered at least one home before being captured by police.
One of those stabbed was seriously injured in the stomach and two were lightly injured, according to reports.
Residents were ordered to remain inside their homes following the attacks. Raanana is home to many immigrants from English-speaking countries and France.
On Friday a Palestinian was shot and wounded as he tried to drive his car into security forces at the Qalandia crossing near Ramallah. No Israelis were hurt in the incident.
Also Friday, two IDF soldiers were lightly hurt during violent riots near the West Bank village of Anata, near Jerusalem.
The soldiers, who were hit by stones, were evacuated for medical treatment in Jerusalem, while the remaining troops at the scene used riot dispersal measures to clear the crowd.
On Sunday morning, a Palestinian woman was shot with a rubber bullet by Israeli soldiers at a checkpoint in Hebron as she attempted to stab soldiers manning the checkpoint.
