The UK’s Ambassador to Israel has condemned the deadly Palestinian terrorist shooting that claimed the life of an 18-year-old Israeli soldier.
On Saturday, Sgt. Noa Lazar, 18, a member of the Military Police’s Erez battalion, was shot and killed at a Jerusalem checkpoint after a Palestinian gunman exited a car and shot her and other officers at points blank range.
Lazar, who was shot in the head, was rushed to hospital but died of her injuries shortly afterwards. A civilian guard was also shot and is in hospital in serious condition.
Video from the incident shows two soldiers fall to the ground and several others duck of cover as shots ring out. The attacker managed to flee the scene and there is currently a manhunt for his arrest.
UK Ambassador Neil Wigan wrote on Twitter on Sunday, “I was saddened to hear of the awful killing of 18 year old soldier Noa Lazar last night. May her memory be a blessing. I condemn such unjustifiable terrorist attacks.”

As you would expect, the responses to his Tweet are filled with anti-Israel rhetoric and justification for this senseless murder.
To show an even darker side of the Israel-Palestinian conflict. Not only did the Palestinians celebrate this brutal murder of a young Israeli woman, but they also made a song in honour of the terrorist.

It is sickening that Palestinians would hate Israelis so much they would lower themselves to celebrate the killing of a woman.
Israeli forces are continuing their manhunt in East Jerusalem, and clashes were reported between the troops and dozens of Palestinians, who threw fireworks and rocks, according to police and footage from the area. Special forces were deployed for riot control.
On Sunday, Public Security Minister Omer Barlev told the Kan public broadcaster: “The refugee camp is completely surrounded… It may take hours, days, but we’ll catch him.”
“This isn’t the first time that we see terrorists coming from East Jerusalem. This is a very difficult situation.”
Israel does not occupy the land, they own the land. And they have every right to defend it.
We believe that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel and encourage everyone who believes the same to sign our petition and tell the UK government to move the UK embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
We call upon the UK Government to officially recognise Jerusalem is Israel's capital and move its embassy to Jerusalem.
