Fighting global terror and increasing bilateral cooperation were on the agenda in the first conversation between Benjamin Netanyahu and Theresa May since she entered Downing Street. 

The two premiers spoke on Tuesday, three weeks after she assumed her role as the UK’s second female PM.

The Israeli leader posted on Twitter, that he “wished her luck as she begins her premiership”.

Netanyahu added that they had “discussed regional issues and the threat of global terrorism facing the free world.
 He said they also “discussed ways in which the two countries can maintain and increase cooperation in a wide variety of fields”.
