Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei called on Palestinians to wage jihad against Israel and said it was the duty of Iran to keep funding terrorism

He made his remarks Wednesday in a Tehran speech marking the 41st anniversary of the Iranian Revolution and comes in the wake of the Trump administration releasing their peace plan for Israel and the Palestinians.

The “remedy” for the plan is “bold resistance by the Palestinian nation and groups in order to force out the Zionist enemy and the US through jihad,” Khamenei said before calling on Muslims around the world to support the Palestinian war against Israel.

Khamenei said ‘The Americans are taking comfort in the belief that choosing a big name for the plot against the Palestinian nation will help it to succeed.” But that the “foolish and evil” scheme “has been working to their own detriment from the very beginning,” Iran’s PressTV reported.

He said that the plan “will definitely end in failure.”

“The Americans have made a deal with the Zionists over something that is not theirs [to give away in the first place]. Palestine belongs to Palestinians, and making decisions concerning it is exclusive to them,” he said.

“Who are you to make decisions for other people’s lands and homes? This indicates your evilness, cunning, and malevolent nature,” he added.

It is odd that Khamenei would make such a statement considering Israel is not Khamenei’s land and he himself is wanting to decide the fate of the Jewish state and dictate who can live there.

After accusing Trump of interfering, the Iranian dictator said his solution was a referendum that included all Palestinians wherever they were in the world but would only include a limited number of Jews, not those who have “settled” in Israel and not Jews from the diaspora.

“Conduct a poll of all Palestinians in the world, including Muslims, Christians & Jews —not immigrants who settled in the occupied lands— to choose a govt. That govt decide on immigrants & people like Netanyahu,” Khamenei said and later tweeted.

Khamenei also pledged his country’s support for the Palestinian armed struggle against Israel. He said that the Islamic Republic is obligated to support terror groups “in whatever manner and to whatever extent it can.”

Currently, the Iranian regime funds the terrorist groups Hamas, Hezbollah and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) to the tune of hundreds-of-millions per year. All three of these terrorist groups are dedicated to the destruction of Israel.
