The Israeli Navy has rescued a French sailor lost at sea near Gaza.
The unexpected discovery came after the sailor had been lost for weeks after without any working navigation and communication systems. After being rescued, the IDF took him for medical treatment.
A twitter post by the IDF said, “IDF Navy rescued a French sailor last night who was lost at sea for weeks with a broken radio and no steering system. Our soldiers came across his boat near the Gaza Strip, rescued him, and took him for medical treatment. May he make his way home safely soon!”
