A sixteen year old schoolgirl has been attacked in an anti-Semitic incident in Germany.
A youth centre in Adelbert, Germany was holding an Oktoberfest (a German festival) for young people in September. At 2:15pm, a group of girls were standing next to a Bratwurst stand (German hotdog stand) where they were introducing themselves by name.
Overhearing the names, a thirty-one year old man walked up to the girls and questioned the sixteen year old in particular, asking where her foreign sounding name originated from. He then attacked the girl, pulling her violently by the hair and shouting loudly, “You Jew!”
The man was restrained by passers-by who witnessed the incident allowing the girl to break free and run away.
She has filed a complaint with the police against the man for assault and racism.
