Alison Chabloz, a controversial blogger and musician, has posted a new video on her YouTube channel called “I like the story as it is – SATIRE”, which contains anti-Semitic lyrics and Holocaust denial.
While this video is labelled as a satire, it is important to note that the views expressed within this song are in line with those Chabloz has expressed in the past, for which she has been criminally charged.
You would be forgiven if you thought this song was written and sung by a neo-Nazi. Instead, however, Chabloz is a pro-Palestinian activist who sits on the far left of politics.
The lyrics clearly establish that the song is about Jews when Chabloz sings, “I’d rather be a Gentile than a… non-Gentile”. This is a reference to the Bible where it refers to Gentiles as non-Jews, therefore, a “non-Gentile” is a Jew.
Having established who the song is about, Chabloz then sings about the Jews “lies about their history and the past”, which she claims is a way for them (meaning the Jews) to claim “Israeli hegemony” and “tribal supremacy”. The song claims that they (meaning the Jews) “steal what’s yours, take what’s mine”.
“The first great lie concerns the Lord above.
They claim to be his choice minority
They alone deserve his love. Mmmm ….Mmmm.”
The above lyrics are referring to the Biblical claim that the Jews are God’s chosen people, which Chabloz is clearly calling a “great lie” and mocking it.
Another “great lie” that Chabloz claims is the following lyrics:
“The third claims Six Million [Jews] were gassed alive
Their bodies burnt, or so we learn
I used to question, how this could have come to pass
Now I insist. It’s a damn fine tale, I like the story as it is.”
This is clearly denial of the Holocaust as it can only be a reference to the systematic murder of Jews at the hands of the Nazis. While Chabloz claims “satire” for this song, this is at the very least mockery and belittlement of the Holocaust and all those who suffered in it. This is also in line with her previous criminal charge, which suggests that the crown court did not see her songs as jokes or “satire”, but instead as being dangerous.
According to Alison’s own blog, “Alison Chabloz has become a controversial figure particularly after her Quenelle salute outside Edinburgh Castle during the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe.” The Quenelle salute was invented by Dieudonne M’bala M’bala, himself an anti-Semitic Holocaust denier, and was used in M’bala’s French political “Anti Zionist Party” campaign advertising. The salute is an inverted Nazi salute and is used by anti-Semites.
The full lyrics of the song are below, along with the YouTube video.
Lyrics:
(Sung to the tune of Simon and Garfunkel ‘El Condor Pasa’)
I’d rather be a Gentile than a …. non-Gentile
Yes it’s true. So would you. If you only knew. Mm..Mm
All those lies about their history and the past
To guarantee …Israeli hegemony .. tribal supremacy. Mm ..MmAway, O they’ve been sent away, for their crimes, one hundred times.
Why do, we let them in again, to steal what’s yours, take what’s mine?
And then to moan and whine. Mmmm ….Mmmm.The first great lie concerns the Lord above
They claim to be his choice minority
They alone deserve his love. Mmmm ….Mmmm.The second lie imposes usury, on you and me
Yes it’s true, since Waterloo. Mmmm ….Mmmm.The third claims Six Million were gassed alive
Their bodies burnt, or so we learn
I used to question, how this could have come to pass
Now I insist. It’s a damn fine tale, I like the story as it is.(Switches to the tune of an Israeli song, Hevenu Shalom Aleichem)
The shrunken heads, soap and lampshades
The shrunken heads, soap and lampshades
The shrunken heads, soap and lampshades
I do insist. I like the story as it is.Electrocution, steam and diesel
Electrocution, steam and diesel
Electrocution, steam and diesel
I do insist. I like the story as it is.The coloured smoke from the chimney
The coloured smoke from the chimney
The coloured smoke from the chimney
I do insist. I like the story as it is.
