Dear Friend,
This week, Israel has once again had to defend itself against lies and false accusations of the enemy that seek to tarnish Israel’s image and paint those who love her in a bad light.
The Bible declares that Israel will be a light unto the nations. This is a battle of light against darkness, and though the darkness may feel like it is consuming all aspects at this time, from the media to politics to discourse on the streets, we Christians will walk in the light and love of God Almighty.
So, let us shine the light of truth for Israel this week in prayer:
– Pray that the darkness of Hamas will be exposed for all the world to see. Hamas is to blame for this war and is responsible for the deaths of Israelis and Palestinians, both of whom are the victims of Hamas.
– Pray that Israel will have Godly wisdom as it navigates all the obstacles of the enemy, from defending itself on the international stage, negotiating for the release of its hostages, and in its operations in Gaza, both its attacks on Hamas and its aid to civilians.
– Pray that Christians in the UK will rise up at this time as a beacon of light for the Jewish people who are feeling isolated and alone. We must all show the love of Christ to our Jewish brothers and sisters.
– Pray for the peace of Jerusalem – that it may be a light unto the nations!
