Police are investigating after a number of swastikas were spray-painted on the side of vans parked opposite a Jewish school in north London. The vandalised vehicles were spotted next to the Beis Malka Jewish Girls School in Stamford Hill, an area of the capital with a large Jewish population.
One of the vans also had the words ‘**** off’ painted on the side. Images of the swastikas were taken by Jewish neighbourhood watch scheme Shomrim, who handed them over to Hackney police.
A spokesperson told the Evening Standard: “Young schoolchildren and their parents were shocked to discover the offensive graffiti.
“Sadly, swastikas and anti-Semitic graffiti is far too common in Stamford Hill.”
