This is a breaking news story and it is developing all the time. Here we will list just a fraction of the things taking place.
To be clear, this is Hamas who are responsible for all of this bloodshed. If the world does not condemn Hamas now, they never will. We have never seen such a level of terror as today. Hamas terrorists have infiltrated into Israel and have murdered dozens of civilians and kidnapped some and brought them into Gaza.
Israel’s official death toll (3pm on 7th October) is 100+ Israeli civilians killed, hundreds injured, and dozens have been kidnapped and taken into Gaza.
So far, we have seen…
- An Israeli bomb shelter full of the dead bodies of civilians, including children, because Hamas terrorists have broken into it and shot them all dead.
- A bus stop with the bodies of four elderly people who were waiting to catch a bus.
- An alive Israeli female civilian, covered in blood, being manhandled as she’s kidnapped by terrorists and transported into Gaza.
- The body of an Israeli woman being spat on and abused as it is transported into Gaza.
- An Israeli tank being destroyed by a drone carrying a bomb, showing that Hamas weaponry has improved thanks to Iran
- Israeli military vehicles have been captured by Hamas terrorists.
- Reports that five Israeli soldiers have been kidnapped and taken into Gaza.
- An Israeli ambulance was targeted by a Hamas bomb drone.
- Videos of heavily armed Palestinian terrorists going door to door in Israeli towns and murdering civilians and holding some hostage.
- This all happened after Hamas fired between 3,000 and 5,000 rockets into Israel on Saturday (7 October 2023).
- At least 100 civilians have been killed. Hundreds have been injured and dozens have been kidnapped and taken into Gaza.
Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared that Israel is at war. This was not started by Israel, it was started by the terrorists of Hamas.

The UK has condemned the actions of Hamas. Foreign Minister James Cleverly said, “The UK unequivocally condemns the horrific attacks by Hamas on Israeli civilians. The UK will always support Israel’s right to defend itself.”

There have been other reactions to Hamas terror, and some of it has been lacklustre. In fact, we would say the US response is terrible. Israel has every right to retaliate in this situation.:
- French President Emmanuel Macron strongly condemned the attacks, saying “I express my full solidarity with the victims, their families and loved ones”
- Germany’s foreign minister said “violence and rockets against innocent civilians must stop now”
- European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen described the attack as “terrorism in its most despicable form”
- The United States condemned the violence and urged both sides to refrain from retaliating
- Russia’s deputy foreign minister said “it goes without saying that we always call for restraint”.
PRAY FOR ISRAEL
We must pray for Israel. We must pray for Israel’s civilians. We must pray for those who have been kidnapped and those currently held hostage in Israel. We must pray for the IDF and for Israel’s leaders.
This attack is unprecedented. We have no words for what is happening. It is horrific and if this does not wake the world up to the evils of Hamas, we don’t know what will.
Unfortunately, much of what we are seeing on social media and you have read in this article may never see the light of day in mainstream media outlets. We have already seen pundits on the BBC saying that Israel will “use this as an excuse to attack Gaza”. It is despicable. Israel only wants peace, but they are dealing with terrorists who are akin to ISIS and other Islamist groups. The world must wake up and see the true face of Hamas.
Israel is good. Palestinian terrorism is evil.
Pray, pray and pray some more for Israel today.
This year, we want to do more to bless Israel and the Jewish people.
We know that as we bless Israel this year, God will bless us, just as He promised in Genesis 12:3, “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” Now is the time to bless Israel and the Jewish people.
