George Galloway has taken to twitter to threaten the “mother of all protests” against a festival which is set to celebrate the Israeli city of Tel Aviv in London next year.
The Respect party politician, who is running for mayor of London, reacted to news that two of his rival candidates, Labour’s Sadiq Khan and the Conservatives Zac Goldsmith, had both expressed support for the event to be held in the capital next year.
The event, organised by the Israeli Embassy and supported by current Mayor of London Boris Johnson, is set for 2017 and is aimed at highlighting how Israel’s second city has become a hub for the creative arts.
I promise you this whether I'm the Mayor or not there will be the mother of all protests outside any Festival for the Apartheid state…

Galloway said on Twitter, “I promise you this whether I’m the Mayor or not there will be the mother of all protests outside any Festival for the Apartheid state…”
He then went on to attack Sadiq Khan questioning him saying, “have you no shame?”, after Khan professed his support for the event.
Why @SadiqKhan are you promising to back a Tel Aviv Festival? Have you no shame?

George Galloway is not afraid of sharing his views about Israel and is a champion of pro-Palestinian issues. He lost his seat as MP of Bradford in last year in the general elections. During his time as MP he had controversially declared the city of Bradford as off limits to Israelis.
