As King Charles of Great Britain arrived in the United States on a state visit, there are some serious issues we must discuss in Great Britain. Every day, a new antisemitic attack is reported. Is this a chilling insight into what could happen right here in the United States, or can we change course before it’s too late?

Kasim Hafeez speaks about this important topic from a British ex-Muslim perspective.

Below is the video and the full transcript.

Hello and welcome to another episode of the CUFI Weekly. And this week we had the sovereign of Great Britain, King Charles, visit the United States on a state visit. And while he extolled the values of the Britain–America relationship, I wanted to focus a little bit more on domestic situations in Great Britain.

Now, as many of you know, I am British. I’m also American, so I have a unique insight on this. But I’m not going to be talking about the US–Great Britain relationship today. What I want to talk about is the absolutely deadly antisemitism that is finding such fresh breeding ground in the United Kingdom.

On Wednesday morning, two visibly Jewish men were stabbed coming from the synagogue. As of recording this, they are both stable but in serious condition. This follows on Tuesday, when police were investigating an arson attack on a memorial to victims of October 7th and victims of the regime in Iran. This is following the arson attack where we saw a number of ambulances for a Jewish volunteer service set on fire.

Now these are not isolated incidents. We have seen for years antisemitism in Europe and the United Kingdom running rampant. We have seen week after week anti-Israel protests in the capital, London, and those frequently accompanied by antisemitic chants, antisemitic signs and the like.

Now it’s important for the viewers to remember that I am British and I was radicalised in Britain. While my family are of Pakistani heritage, I was born and raised in Great Britain. The radicalisation and antisemitism that I embraced happened in Britain, by radical groups in Britain. And we’re talking about the year 2000. This is 26 years later, and it is so much worse.

What we’re seeing in the United Kingdom is due to a number of factors. It’s because extremism was allowed to go unchecked. Extremist preachers, extremist organisations were able to spread their message far and wide. And that message that they were propagating was picked up by the YouTube generation to take it worldwide.

And when you repeat a lie over and over again, as Goebbels’ doctrine dictated for the Nazis, it becomes the truth. The demonisation of Jews, the demonisation of Israel, the demonisation of the West has now become the truth for so many young people. It has become the truth so much that they feel that they can attack, murder, harass, destroy human life, property or memorials related to that.

It is a serious and deadly problem, and we’re seeing that playing out, especially for the Jewish community in Great Britain, who are integral to that country and have been for so long.

There seems to be such a disregard for the legal system in Great Britain or the values of Great Britain that even the embassy of the regime in Iran, in Telegram messages that it was sending out, was recruiting for people, Iranians in England, to sacrifice their lives and become martyrs for the regime, asking them to sign up. The regime in Iran trying to sign up people in London to become martyrs for it.

This is a regime which has committed acts of terror and violence all over the world against the West, Western targets and the Jewish community. In fact, the stabbings today and the previous attacks are linked to what people believe is a regime front group. It’s yet to be seen if the British government will take action against the regime for propagating this from their embassy.

This could be a glimpse of the United States if we do not raise our voices, if we allow the lies to continue to be propagated, if we allow hate preachers, religious or political, on YouTube or in the pulpit to spread hatred. Because hatred is like a wildfire. It can’t be contained, and it can be directed at one group, but it will continue to spread until it consumes everything in its path, including the very fabric and morality of society.

I hope and pray, because Britain is the country I was born in, where I was raised, that they can turn back this tide. Great Britain, which once stood as a beacon of freedom, of standing up against oppression, standing up to Nazism, now has become an example of what is possible when you appease hatred.

We have a choice to make. This is Kasim Hafeez for the CUFI Weekly. For Zion’s sake, do not remain silent.
