A court in Alicante, Spain, has nullified the implementation of an Israeli boycott in the town of Concentaina.
The announcement came two days after the municipality of the town of Montcada i Reixac, near Barcelona, rescinded its own resolution made in December to subscribe to the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement against Israel, or BDS.
Some 50 Spanish municipalities have passed resolutions in recent years endorsing BDS — more than in any other European country.
The sentence declares null and void the agreement to support the BDS campaign, the boycott of Israeli and pro-Israel institutions, companies and organizations, the declaration of Cocentaina as a “Space Free of Israeli Apartheid” and all points in the agreement adopted by the Council.
ACOM, the pro-Israel group that challenged in court the 2016 resolution on Israel by the Cocentaina municipality, reported Tuesday that its legal action resulted in a ruling by the 1st Court of Alicante scrapping the text.
ACOM legally exposed the true extent and the effects of the boycott campaign against Israel, exhibiting that the anti-Semitic and discriminatory nature of the boycott campaign against Israel violates both Human Rights and International Law.
As a consequence, the agreement proposed by the socialist party, PSOE, and backed up by other two left parties was nullified.

The DBS movement has had a pervasive implementation in Spain. Since April 2016, over 750,000 people live in Catalonian cities that have implemented the boycott against Israel. The BDS movement aims to exclude companies, artists, professors, student and any person, Jewish or not, that support the Jewish State.
However, in February, after ACOM presented an administrative appeal, the City Council of Montcada, Catalonia, accepted the invalidity of the boycott against Israel, after evaluating the reach of its discriminatory, anti-Semite and illegal measure.
Likewise, the BDS movement was declared illegal in La Gran Canaria last December after having been in force since 2015.
