Christians United for Israel UK is partnering with the Jewish National Fund to replenish some of the trees that were lost in the land of Israel.

Ancient scholars prophesied of the coming Messianic Age, saying, “When the Land of Israel yields fruit abundantly, then the end is near, and there is no clearer indication of the end than this.”

Israel is a living example of this prophecy being fulfilled in our lifetime. Photographed from space, Israel appears green and rich in vegetation in comparison to the desert nations that surround it. Miraculously from land that used to be desert, Israel is exporting produce around the world.

This is both a sign of God’s blessing upon Israel and testimony of the ingenuity of the Jewish people.

Israel is not naturally blessed with rich vegetation. When Mark Twain toured Israel in 1867, he described Israel as being almost void of vegetation, “… A desolate country whose soil is rich enough, but is given over wholly to weeds…a silent mournful expanse…a desolation…we never saw a human being on the whole route…hardly a tree or shrub anywhere. Even the olive tree and the cactus, those fast friends of a worthless soil, had almost deserted the country.”

Since then most of Israel’s forests have been planted by hand. Israel was one of only two nations that entered the 21st century with more trees than it had 100 years earlier.

Despite these advances in forestation, Israel’s enemies still seek to destroy the land. This was evident when Israel recently suffered its worst forest fires on record. Hundreds of fires swept through the nation, burning down forests, scorching the land and driving tens-of-thousands from their homes. Around half of the fires were due to arson, terror attacks against Israel.

Now we have a wonderful opportunity
to comfort Zion after the fires.

Christians United for Israel UK is partnering with the Jewish National Fund to replenish some of the trees that were lost in the land of Israel.

A double blessing: Every gift that you give will be multiplied thanks to a generous donor who has promised to match the funding of every tree we plant up to 1000 trees. So, for every tree you donate, two will be planted.  For example, donate towards five trees for £60 and ten trees will be planted.

This is a wonderful opportunity for you to contribute to the replanting of Israel’s lost trees. Every donation will receive a certificate in the post. You may also like to donate a tree on behalf of someone else as a gift. All online donations will receive an electronic gift card that you can print instantly. It would make a very special gift for someone who loves Israel.
